Resource Round-Up: Reproductive Rights

It’s been a week since Election Day. Like you, we've had to pause, reflect, and rebuild our energy reserves to continue the fight for women's rights. Please know, LOLA's commitment to bodily autonomy and reproductive rights will always endure, and we're here to be a resource for you as we navigate through this together. Whether it's shining a light on the good news (reproductive freedoms enshrined in some states!) or letting you know where you can find the care you need, we're here for you today, tomorrow, and for the next four years. You are not alone.

Ballot Measures Passed

While the fate of federal abortion legislation is unknown, seven states voted to expand reproductive freedoms and, in some cases, enshrine it into their state constitution as a result of election ballot measures. Think of this as Roe v. Wade at the state level.

Reproductive rights access has been expanded in the following 7 states:

Resources for Reproductive Healthcare Access

For those who don't live in states where reproductive rights are protected, organizations like WRRAP and the National Abortion Hotline can facilitate financial assistance and provider information to the healthcare you need now or may need in the future.

WRRAP

WRRAP is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization assisting women who are financially unable to pay for safe, legal abortions or emergency contraceptives. WRRAP provides financial assistance to help disadvantaged women gain access to safe, legal abortion care.

You can find a clinic or provider that is pre-screened, safe, legit, and right for you.

If you are fortunate enough, please donate as generously as you can so WRRAP can continue to help fund the most vulnerable women across the U.S.

The National Abortion Hotline

The National Abortion Hotline (part of the National Abortion Federation) is the largest national, toll-free, multi-lingual Hotline for abortion provider information and financial assistance in the U.S. and Canada. They provide callers with accurate information, confidential consultation, information on providers of quality abortion care, and more. The Hotline is free and offers services to everyone, regardless of your individual situation.

Call: 1-800-772-9100
Monday - Friday: 8 am - 7 pm ET
Saturday & Sunday: 8 am - 4 pm ET

The Hotline is free and offers services to everyone, regardless of your individual situation.

Although legal access is crucial, it is not enough to ensure that abortion is accessible in the U.S. You can take a stance in the long fight ahead to restore and expand abortion access by donating.
